What to Do (Do’s) – 10 Points

  1. Make a daily timetable based on the MP Board syllabus – set small, achievable targets like “finish 1 chapter + solve 20 questions” every day.
  2. Solve previous year papers and MPBSE sample papers regularly – time yourself exactly like the real exam (3 hours) to build speed and confidence.
  3. Focus on understanding concepts deeply (especially in Maths, Science, SST) – don’t just memorize; explain it to yourself or a friend.
  4. Practice writing answers daily – especially essays, letters, and long answers in Hindi/English – neat handwriting and proper format give extra marks.
  5. Prepare short notes for quick revision – formulas, dates, key points, diagrams, maps – keep them in one notebook or on colorful cards.
  6. Revise every week – do at least 2-3 full rounds of revision before exams to make everything stick in your memory.
  7. Take short breaks (5-10 minutes) after 45-50 minutes of study – walk, drink water, stretch – this keeps your brain fresh and makes study fun.
  8. Sleep 7-8 hours every night and eat healthy food – a fresh mind remembers better and performs well in exams.
  9. Clear doubts immediately – ask teachers, friends, or use YouTube/NCERT explanations – never leave a topic unclear.
  10. Stay positive and motivated – say to yourself “I can do this!” Reward small wins (like finishing a chapter) with something fun like 10 minutes of music.

What Not to Do (Don’ts) – 10 Points

  1. Don’t start new topics or hard chapters right before the exam – it causes confusion and stress; only revise what you already know.
  2. Don’t study all night (late-night cramming) – lack of sleep makes you forget everything and feel tired during the paper.
  3. Don’t just rote-learn without understanding – in board exams, twisted questions come; only concepts help you write correctly.
  4. Don’t waste time on phone, social media, or games during study hours – keep your phone silent or in another room.
  5. Don’t study only one subject the whole day – it gets boring; switch subjects (e.g., Maths → Science → English) to stay interested.
  6. Don’t write messy answers or do too many cuttings in the exam – examiners give fewer marks for poor presentation.
  7. Don’t panic in the exam hall – read the full paper first for 5 minutes, attempt easy questions first, then tough ones.
  8. Don’t compare yourself with others – everyone studies differently; focus only on your progress and best effort.
  9. Don’t skip meals or eat too much junk food – it causes low energy, headache, or stomach issues during study/exam.
  10. Don’t think negatively (“I will fail” or “it’s too hard”) – negative thoughts waste energy; replace them with “I am preparing well”.

Follow these honestly – many MP Board toppers use exactly these habits. Start today, stay consistent, and you will see amazing results.
